More displays from my Open House

Hello stamping friends!
Here are some more pics from my Open House...Aren't those flowered ribbons cool?  They remind me of the 70's!  (I guess that dates me, huh?)  Very easy to make using the Big Blossoms die and adhered to ribbon using mini glue dots.
Below that pic are the Stocking boxes I made using the NEW stocking die, glitter paper and the box #2 die.  I think these will be perfect for gifts at  Xmas!  And they are SOOOO sparkly!
Thanks for stopping by!

Cupcake pedestal

Hello stamping friends!
This is something that we learned at convention--a little table for cupcakes!  You need to use Designer Paper 8x2 and score at every 2 inches.  Mountain fold and using the large oval punch, punch a 1/2 of the oval out of the paper.  You may need to do it in 2 steps--sometimes I can get thru all of the layers and sometimes not!
The top of the table is the large Scallop punch with scallops folded down.  Wouldn't these be so cute for a shower or b'day party?

Open House pics of Displays

Hello!  I want to thank all of you that attended my Open House on Sunday and made it such a success!  Here are some pictures of some of the displays...the top one is a vase with Accordian Flowers that I made.  These are SO fun to make with the NEW scoring tool that Stampin' Up is selling!  I used 12x12 Designer paper and scored every 1/2 inch.
This is what everyone got for attending.  It's a Card Emergency kit and came with 3 cards and envies.  Or they could choose the cello bag with nuggets.  I used the new stamp set that is PERFECT for covering nuggets and the 2 scallop punches for the flower.
I'd say this is my FAVORITE of the new sets in the catalog!  Button Buddies is the name of it and the stamps lend themselves to adding one of SU's buttons that match perfectly (of course!)  Just so cute!!!

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Pics from Convention

The top pic is showing some very creative ways to use our Stampin' Up fabric!
The next pic is a cute ornament using the Petal Cone Die.  They had such GREAT displays this year with lots of ideas!

Have you wondered where I've been since I haven't posted for a long time?  Nowhere!  I just got lazy and the Header bothers me that there is so much space before you hit the blog part...and I don't know how to fix it and kept thinking I would!

But!  I am back in the program, so please stop by again to see what else I have to show you!

Fabulous Florets

Hello stampers!
Know what?  When I first saw this set in the new mini, I thought  "I don't need another flower set"....then I did a swap with Shelly and got these 2 cards and changed my mind!!  AND they stamp SO WELL!  By that, I mean they REALLY pick up the ink and give a GREAT clean image!  Plus, there is a matching Designer paper called "Beyond the Garden".  This set is going to be in the new Idea Book Catalogue, also, so it will have a long life!  The possibilites are endless  :-)
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Man cards

Hello stampers!
I wasn't too sure when I ordered this set ("Open Sea"-Stampin' Up) but after playing with it and getting several in a swap I did with Shelly, I really like it!  It's so hard to do man cards, I think!
Anyway, the one on the left is one I did while playing..and the other is one I got from the swap.  There is coordinating designer paper (which I need to buy!)  And notice the new Baker's twine from the mini, also!

Thanks for stopping by!

Man cards!

Hello stamping friends!
If you are like me, you never have enough man cards--is it because it's more fun to make femmy cards with flowers, etc?  Maybe!  Now is a great time to make some "man cards" since Father's Day is coming up and we always need guy b'day cards!
This set is called "The Open Sea" and I really had fun playing with it!
The card on top is one that I made for a swap, and the ones below are another "playing one" and one I received in a swap.  This set is in the new Summer Mini from Stampin' Up and I think you need it like I did!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms!

Problems with Header

Well, I obviously am not great at getting this blog to do what I want!  Sorry about the big white space--I am trying to figure out how to get rid of it--maybe I will have to change my new Header...thanks for bearing with me!  And I plan to add some new photos of some GREAT cards soon!

Easter projects

Hello stamping friends!  At the girl's weekend, Elaine and I worked on these projects to sell at our local Curves where we work out.   Basket of cupcake bunnies and chicks!  I saw this cute idea on Stamper's Connection (Stampin' Up website) and just had to try them out!
These cuties have a Hershey kiss in them.  I used the Petal Punch to make the box.  You need 4 punched pieces.
Carrots with Pixi Stix!  This uses the the Petal Cone die.
We boxed up the cute boxes in another box--making them perfect for Easter baskets!
Thanks for stopping by!  Come back soon for some cards that we made last time at the make & take!

Girl's Spring Fling crafting weekend at the Embassy!

The group of us!  We had so much fun this past weekend--stamping, crafting, eating, drinking, laughing!  None of us wanted to go home to the "real world" when it was over!  This was our 2nd Annual Spring Fling...
Peggy and Jenny taking a break from crafting...

Sharon and the CUTE tags she made for her sister!

Elaine in front of our room showing off our display of things we were making during the "Ironing Board Parade."  Everyone put their ironing board out and displayed what they'd made so far--it was so fun go go around and see!  I wish I'd taken more pics!

Fabric Flowers

Hello Stamping Friends!
While I was at Leadership, my downline Dina (InkinwithDink) and I decided to have a challenge...it was to make a bunch of these fabric flowers to use as hostess gifts or door prizes.  We have to post a pic of them on our blog!  So here are SOME of mine!  The ones with the ribbon are to tie around a gift--Or as my friend, Diana, suggested--a bracelet!  The others are great as pins, barrettes or on cards...
I used the Bigz flower die and sprayed starch on them first and crumpled to make them a little more 3-d.  Also, some have a layer of net in them.   I'm really liking playing with Stampin' Up's fabric without sewing!!
Off to get ready for my Make & take here in an hour!
Thanks for stopping by!

Thomas the Train

Hello stamping friends!
Isn't this cute?  It's a birthday party favor bag for my friend's grandson's 2nd b'day party--we made 20 of them and once they were stuffed with favors and tissue and tied with a bow, they were adorable!  What we did, was look at a picture of Thomas the Train and copied it using Stampin' Up punches and cardstock!  It's alot easier than you think to create something this way!
Thanks for stopping by!

"Bliss" card

Hello stamping friends!
This stamp set, "Bliss", is one that you can get FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order (until the end of March).  Ya know, when I first saw this set, I thought it was nice-but couldn't picture how I would use it...
Then, I saw some cards made with it and fell in love!  I will post another card using it next (we did it at the last make & take here) and it became a favorite of my friends (so of course, they wanted to get it free, also!)
The Desinger paper used here is "Newsprint" and it goes so well with the Vintage sets that are so popular now.       By the way, I didn't make this card, I took a pic of it at Regionals....
Thanks for stopping by!

Fabric Flowers on cards

Hello stamping friends!
Aren't these beautiful?  They were prizes at a meeting with Amy Johnson at Leadership.  She had organized a special dinner for those of us in her downline while we were at Leadership in Nashville (January).  SADLY, I didn't win one!!!  But I took this picture so that I can remember how to make them!  She used the Big Shot and Bigz Flower die with Springtime Vintage Fabric from Stampin' Up (of course!)
Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Bunny Basket

Hello Stamping friends!  Is this little bunny too cute or what?  The basket is made with the  petal cone die, with the bottom cut off.  I made the body of the bunny with the oval scallop frame die and punches for the rest of him.  I love how his (or hers) arms are holding the basket!  It's holding some decorated chocolates in the basket.
And here's the tail!  Of course, I added some glitter on it :-).

And me doing the demo at Regionals.

Petal Cone Ice Cream cone card

Hello Stamping Friends!  Here's a card using the Petal Cone Die made into an ice cream cone...another fun way to use this versatile die!
We also had to stop at the Coach outlet store while in Branson for Regionals!  Here's Tammy showing off her beautiful new Coach bag (and working on her swaps!)..

Petal Cone Die "Diva Hot Flash Fan" !

Hello stamping friends!
When I was trying to come up with ideas of things to make with this die, my friend Dana suggested a fan!  Well, I thought that was a GREAT idea since I am in need of one often (those darn hot flashes) and this is what I came up with!  The inside has 2 dies of cardboard, the front and back have 4 dies of Rose Red.  I embellished with Springtime Vintage DS, rosettes and ribbon.  The handle is popsicle sticks that are wrapped with ribbon.
Thanks for looking and come back tomorrow for more ideas using the Petal Cone Die!

Branson Regionals and Petal Cone Die samples

Hello, Stamping friends!
I was honored to be asked by Stampin' Up! to be a Workshop Wow Demonstrator at the Branson Regionals!  I was scared to death to present in front of 100 stampers!  BUT-thank goodness, it wasn't as scarey as I thought--actually it was fun!  And thanks for the support of my fellow demos and downlines, I was able to pull it off....
I started off wearing the Petal Cone Die Party Hat.  I made it with Celebration cs and adhesives and red glitter paper.  In the next few days, I will show you the other things I created using the Petal Cone die--so come back and see!

Playing with some new stuff!

Hello friends!  Today, I want to share with you a card I made that uses the idea from a necklace that we made at Leadership.  It also uses the new "tulip" embossing folder.  The stamp set is "Clearly For You". The glare from the picture takes away the details on the birds--I did put glimmer paint on them. (but not so obvious in person!)  Also, I dyed the lace ribbon with ink to match, using a daubler.
Have a great day!

Cupcake Punch and stamps

Hello friends!
I'm having so much fun with the new punch and stamps for the cupcake!  We made this card at the make & take last weekend--and I got the idea of the circles embossed onto the cardstock from my downline, Dina.  It was one of the fave techniques we did!  Just punch your circles, adhere to the cardstock and then run it thru the Big Shot with an embossing folder!  Plus, aren't the new mini fringe balls cute?

Hello friends!  Boy, you know a storm is coming when the lines at the grocery are extremely long!  Wonder if it will really hit us?
Isn't this a pretty card that  was a swap from Leadership?  The set used is called "Bliss" and is FREE from Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order.  I think you need it (lol)--I know I did!

Framed glitter hearts

This was on the display board at Leadership--so simple, but  looks neat!  Uses Baja Breeze, gold & silver chunky glitter and the red glitter paper--punched out with the heart punch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine Tree

This is a pretty quick card to make!  My favorite part, of course, are the glitter hearts that are punched and put over the branches!.  I can't remember the name of the set that has this tree-but it also has a bird, snowflakes and leaves--very versatile!  I hope you are making your Valentine cards this year!

Leadership pics from Nashville

I had so much fun at Leadership!  Even got my picture with Shelli!!

This is at The Wildhorse Saloon where the Manager's Reception was.  We all got a cowboy hat and FREE stamp set!

The AMAZING Gaylord hotel where we stayed-this is the Cascades section.  There were 90 acres indoors of beautiful areas!   Dina and I got lost so many times!

They even had an area with boat rides inside!

The entrance to some of our gatherings.  +one was the theme this year.

Dina and me the first night-I was enjoying a $13 (!!!) glass of wine at the Cascades area where there were waterfalls and the hanging lights.

Ornament Punch Bee

Hello !
Before I talk about this card, I have to say--I am SOOO excited because tomorrow I'm leaving for Nashville for the Stampin' Up Leadership conference!  Dina (InkinwithDink) and I are rooming together and I get to go out on the town tomorrow night! (have never been there before).  I've been busy working on swaps and this is one of the ones I designed.  It uses the ornament punch for the body, heart punch for the wings.  The designer paper is from Sweet Stitches.  Isn't it cute?
Soooo, I will be gone until Sat., but when I come back, I'll have several new ideas to post!
Keep warm!

Dollar Store challenge

Good morning!
At my last downline meeting, I posed a challenge that everyone get an item at the $ store and decorate it using SU materials.  It was really fun to go in the store and think what could be done!  Everyone was so clever!  This is the one that I made....The tealight holder is glass with knobbed feet. (in the acrylic box).  I made the tealights by punching a circle of designer paper, poking a hole for the wick, and heating it with the heat gun until the entire top layer was covered with melted wax.  You MUST make sure that the entire circle is covered or it will burn when lit! Then I cut a strip of matching DSP and attached it around the edge of the tealight.  Makes a cute little gift! Oh-and of course, a little hang tag off of the bow....
When the candle is lit, the paper will sink down to the bottom.
Stop by tomorrow to see a swap that I'm taking to Leadership!

Springtime Vintage Leadership Swap

Good morning!
I made 20 of these for a special swap at Leadership this year.  You could add pics on the inside covers, too.  The dimensions are: 4x12, scored at 4 & 8.  The ribbon flower on the front is made by putting sticky tape on a punched circle and going around the edge of circle with the ribbon.  It looks kinda "Eastery", but could be for any occasion.
Check back tomorrow for another swap card I've done!
