Cupcake pedestal

Hello stamping friends!
This is something that we learned at convention--a little table for cupcakes!  You need to use Designer Paper 8x2 and score at every 2 inches.  Mountain fold and using the large oval punch, punch a 1/2 of the oval out of the paper.  You may need to do it in 2 steps--sometimes I can get thru all of the layers and sometimes not!
The top of the table is the large Scallop punch with scallops folded down.  Wouldn't these be so cute for a shower or b'day party?

Upcoming make & take projects

Hello stamping friends!  Welcome to my 200th post!!!
These are what we will be making this weekend at my make & take.  Above, we have a punched bunny for Easter and a magnetic clip using the NEW triple flower punch !  That will make a great gift for someone!
I got the idea for the Mother's Day card from the cover of the new Summer mini and changed it up a bit.  The other card is watercolored and distressed.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy this beautiful day outside!!!

Fabric Flowers

Hello Stamping Friends!
While I was at Leadership, my downline Dina (InkinwithDink) and I decided to have a challenge...it was to make a bunch of these fabric flowers to use as hostess gifts or door prizes.  We have to post a pic of them on our blog!  So here are SOME of mine!  The ones with the ribbon are to tie around a gift--Or as my friend, Diana, suggested--a bracelet!  The others are great as pins, barrettes or on cards...
I used the Bigz flower die and sprayed starch on them first and crumpled to make them a little more 3-d.  Also, some have a layer of net in them.   I'm really liking playing with Stampin' Up's fabric without sewing!!
Off to get ready for my Make & take here in an hour!

Thomas the Train

Hello stamping friends!
Isn't this cute?  It's a birthday party favor bag for my friend's grandson's 2nd b'day party--we made 20 of them and once they were stuffed with favors and tissue and tied with a bow, they were adorable!  What we did, was look at a picture of Thomas the Train and copied it using Stampin' Up punches and cardstock!  It's alot easier than you think to create something this way!

Make & take preview-Holidays

This cute card uses 2 oval punches for the mittens, the snowflake embossing folder, and the new Designer paper (I just LOVE that glitter on it!)  The stitches are added with a sewing machine (just kidding!  It's the white gel pen!)
I love the simplicity of this card.  The holly is stamped off and there is a pearl in the saying.

Isn't he adorable?  The turkey makes a great place card holder or decoration at your Thanksgiving table...

Make your reservations today for the make & take!

Paper crafted Topiary

This beautiful topiary was made by friend and sideline, Tammy, for our convention roomie gifts.  The flowers are die cut and punched.  What a pretty decoration and/or gift!  Also in the picture to the top right--a card that DeAnn (downline) made and below, a shadow box that Pam (downline) made (that was a convention roomie gift from 2 years ago).  Don't you wish you were roomies with us at convention?  We get the BEST stuff!

Fortune Teller Basket

Remember those handheld, folded, open-uppy things that we made as kids that you would pick a number and color and inside was a fortune?  (like "the boy you like, likes you back")  Well, this is made the same way those were, but you use it upside down and make a basket out of it!  Fun, huh?  I added the handle (1/2" piece of cs) and glitter brads and an embellishment.  It calls for a piece of 6x6 (designer paper works the best because it isn't as thick to fold).  These would make great favors, Easter and May Day baskets, etc!
Oh! the possibilities!
Glad you stopped by!

Vintage Christmas

Hello!
This is a tree that I made using the circle scallop dies, chunky glitter around the edges, Xmas DS and fabric, lace ribbon and a votive glass on the bottom.  The beads were some that I had left from another project years ago!  They are all stacked on a thin dowel rod.  I'd thought about making several of these-but to tell you the truth, it was more time consuming than I thought!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Medallion Ornament

I took this picture at convention because I loved the idea of making an ornament with the Medallion stamp!  Here, they used the treat cups in the center, filled with Snow Caps.  Wouldn't doing a tree with all different colors of these look pretty?

My Ice Castle from House in Mini

I can't TELL you how much fun I had creating this house!  It's only $5.95, plain, in the current mini catalog.  Want to see it, touch it, feel it in person?  Come to my Open House this Sunday, 9/12 from 1-4!  There will be lots of other fun things to see and free gifts!  I will also have a sign up for a class to make this or your version of how you'd decorate this house.  Do you see a Halloween house? a Gingerbread house?  I did the Ice Palace because I can keep it out during the whole winter!

Gift card "Purse"

Hello!
I love this simple, yet create way to give a gift card to a female in your life!  I used the Top Note die, new DSP and new Daffodil Delight cs.  Just cut the trim at the same time you cut the front and back of the purse.  It would also fit a small gift of jewelry or lipstick...
Leaving for convention on Wednesday--can't wait!!

Wedding Shower prizes

I've been working frantically to get ready for the wedding shower tomorrow!  Here are the prizes for a game where 3 teams must make a wedding veil out of toilet paper and tape!  The winners get this giant Hershey bar that is wrapped with her color scheme and matches the favors (will show those next time).
Didn't they turn out cute?

Button Bracelet

Hello!
This is a pic of the button bracelet I made last night at DeAnn's button class! You can't really see all of the detail, but I sewed buttons onto a denim fabric and there is elastic in the middle. Also, I added some beads on top of some of the buttons. I can't remember the last time I actually sewed with a needle and thread! But it was a REALLY fun class! Some people made button bouquets and some made bracelets. Several of these buttons are ones I've inherited thru the years from family members--so it is special to me.
Thanks DeAnn, for a great class! We will be thinking of you and your shoulder replacement tomorrow! Off to go work out at Curves (trying to anticipate the Thanksgiving weight gain--aagghh!)

Butterfly mobile

This butterfly mobile was on display at convention--I thought it was a geat idea for girl's to make for their rooms! It uses the Butterly Die Cut, designer paper and fishing wire.

I loved seeing all of the ideas at convention!

So sorry that I have been missing in action for a week! Was preparing for my Open House last Sat, and the trying to get caught up around the house.

This little album is so cute! I can't wait to add pics!

This is the album I made at the class last week...I'm going to put pics in it of my parents' upcoming visit over the 4th of July and give it to my mom. It's perfect because we are having a
"Luau" theme cookout! Thanks, Tina, for the great class! I'm going to make some more!

Big Bird Candy

Isn't he cute? My downline, Dina (inkinwithdink@typepad.com) swapped these at SU convention last year. Great idea for kid's b'day parties! I found the Pixi Stix at the Dollar Tree-a bag for $1. Big Bird is punched twice (front and back of head) with the Scallop punch. (what would I ever do without that punch? If you don't have it, you NEED it!) :-) Use a large glue dot to adhere the Pixi stix between the 2 circles. You could even use "googley eyes" instead of punched ones.....
Garage sale is coming along--SO MUCH STUFF! I have retired stamp sets also...if you are interested, it will be in the Sun and the Star classifieds Thur-Sat. on Glenwood in OP.
Thanks for looking!

File Folder Album-class

What a perfect way to showcase pictures of a special event-b'day, showers, graduation, trip, wedding, anniversary, family reunion! Tina is having a class on how to make these albums and they make a GREAT gift! The class is even in time for Father's Day!
The class is Sunday June 7th at my house at 1:30. $15 includes everything you will need and most will be pre-cut for you! She will have several kinds of designer paper so that you can match your occasion.--just bring a glue stick! The size of this album is 1/2 the size of a file folder. If you are interested, there are a few spots left and just let me know by June 1st @ rjrholm@aol.com

"Onesie" Gift bag

Isn't this a cute way to give a baby or shower gift? All you do is "squeeze" open the inside gusset at the top, snip down a couple of inches, bring the arms out and glue together. I used the scallop punch on the outside of the sleeves. You can also punch a neck hole at the top. The letters are chipboard sponged with Craft ink and embossed with irridescent ice embossing powder. Make a matching card, and you are sure to be a hit at a baby shower! Thanks for looking!

Altered Clipboard

Have you noticed that the past several posts have used Designer paper? I used to think it was only for scrapbooking---I love Designer paper! Especially the quality and double-sidedness (is that a word?) Anyway, covering a clipboard is a fun way to use it and it makes a great gift OR is fun to use yourself and get compliments on!. This is actually a chipboard clipboard from SU-I've also bought the regular size ones from Walmart for $1. What you need to remember is to use Modge Podge as a sealant and glue.
Here, I've embellished it with flowers from the Pretties Kit and colored them with ink using a dauber.
What a great teacher's gift this would make, don't you think?

Embossing Folder storage

It was SO NICE out today! I'd say it was the first great day of the year, weatherwise...Went window shopping with a friend and then to Johnny's tavern for wine and a hamburger-outside!
What is this thing? A great way to use your designer paper (which is on special this month from Stampin' Up--buy 4 packs get one free!) for one thing! Actually, I got this at our local Thrift Shop--I think it was used for floppy discs or something! It is the PERFECT size for storing embossing folders and dies! It even came with the dividers and cost me a buck! Go in one sometime and think "outside of the box"--they have some great, cheap things....
I'm ALMOST hoping for rain so that I can go stamp and not feel bad--I want to design the cards for our upcoming make & take. I did say almost--I'm going to stamp anyway!
