Stenciled black and whilte

This card uses the Stampin' Up stencil.  I placed it over the white cs and daubered black ink on it.  It was quick and easy and gives you a classic looking card!  We are doing this card at the make & take this weekend.  Hope to see you there--there are openings on Sunday!

"Manly" card

This is one of the cards we will be making this weekend at the make & take.  It can say "husband" or "brother" or "son" if needed.  I used the Medallian stamp and Soft Suede.  There is also some gold embossing going on!  I love how it stands up, too.  It is sprayed with the new Smooch spray, but looks good without using it, also.
Thanks for looking!

Can't think of a title!

I'm so tired that I can't think of a title for this!  Pretty sad, huh?  It's a triptech (3 panel) card using a repetitive design.  I think the glitter makes all of the difference!
My trip home was not successful-am so disappointed.  Having to "Call in my sisters" for help!
Hope your week is a good one!
Anxious to stamp again!

Stencil using Bird Punch

This is similar to one I posted earlier--with a twist.  I used Pacific Point blue cs and Soft Suede.  Also used the new texture folder and scallop border punch.  This is one of my convention swaps!
I am leaving tomorrow to drive to Naperville, Il to visit my parents--back on Sunday....So I will be MIA again for a few days!  Not a fun trip--have to get my dad to sign up for Home Health Care for my mom (and he doesn't know that I planned 2 appointments for us!)
Have a great week and check back on Monday for another post!

Baby card

I am so sorry that I've been MIA for so long!  The days just seem to whiz by!
This is a card I'm making for convention swaps..It is all punched or die cut. (scallop circle).  The hair is unravelled gros grain.  I think this would also make a great baby shower invite!
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day---and thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Shower Favor

This is one of the 35 boxes we made for favors at the shower.  It is filled with Hershey kisses.  I used the Scalloped die box die cut and Perfect Plum assorted Designer paper.
The shower was a success and WOW did she get some great gifts! (The blueberry vodka and lemo punch was a big hit, too!)  Now on to some other projects!!

Goodbye Yoyo Yellow!

I hate to see yoyo yellow retire because yellow and black make such a fun card!  This is a card we made at the last make & take.  I used the flower from the Pretties kit and stamped on it from the Circle Circle stamp set.  The inside of the card and the middle of the flower is also stamped from that set.  I used the NEW lattice texture plate on the strips on the front.  I love it!  This is such a cheerful card!
Thanks for looking!

Wedding Shower prizes

I've been working frantically to get ready for the wedding shower tomorrow!  Here are the prizes for a game where 3 teams must make a wedding veil out of toilet paper and tape!  The winners get this giant Hershey bar that is wrapped with her color scheme and matches the favors (will show those next time).
Didn't they turn out cute?

April Showers, Spring Flowers

What beautiful days we've been having!  This month's make & take includes some flower cards--well, it's the perfect time of year!  I actually planted some flowers (and I have a black thumb, not green!)

These are 3 of the things we are making for the upcoming make & take this weekend.  (If you haven't made your reservation, please do so asap so that I can start cutting-thanks!)
On top, you can see the 2 little gift cards that are perfect to add on a gift bag.  And the other is the "black magic" technique--it can be for Mother's Day or Birthday.  This technique is stamping the image in craft white ink and coloring it with watercolor pencils.  It is embellished with SU's white gel pen. I also used a new Die Cut that I just bought (oval scallop).
Next to it is another card we will be making.  Can you see the frosted shimmer on the embossed left of the card?  The tulip is made from the wings of the bird punch!  I just LOVE that punch!
And as you can see, I didn't post the 4th item.  I'm not too thrilled with how the milk carton idea came out and am in the process of designing another card--you will just have to come and see what it is!

Wedding Shower invite

Happy Easter everyone!  What a nice day--Ross and I took our dog, Sadie, for a walk...she loved it and I was glad to get him to go with us!
Anyway, this is one of 35 shower invites that Elaine and I made for a shower we are giving a friend's daughter. This is her color scheme and we will be making favors, also.
I used the scallop die for the dress and embossed the vellum.  The bodice is the Heart punch.  It's hard to tell, but it is sponged with the eggplant all around.  What do you think?

Bird Punch as a stencil...

I ordered this bird punch from Stampin' Up as soon as it was available to order--it is so fun!  Here, I used the negative space from the punch and daubered ink in it.  I also used the punched branch.  We made this at the make & take this weekend and it was simple yet sweet.  And it didn't even need any glitter!
Thanks for looking!

Well. I messed up!

That's what I get for playing with templates!  My other one disappeared darn it!!!  Don't have time to fix it--sorry about this!!!!

A Sympathy card...

It seems that lately I can't keep a stockpile of Sympathy cards--so made another one for my stash!  We are making this at the make & take the weekend, too.  I have to admit that I added glitter to the center of the large and small flowers after I took the pic!  I clear embossed the large flower and sponged over it.  And you may be able to tell that I used the "spritzer" tool with Soft Suede marker to get the speckled look.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Goofy Chick

I think he wishes he was a bunny!  I got the idea for this from a card I saw on Stampin' Up's Stampers Connection and changed it up a bit.  The things on the right side are made with the slit punch.  We will be making this at the make & take this weekend--there are some spots still open--email me if you want to join us for Creative Therapy!

Fun Fun Fun!!!!!!!

FINALLY a new post!! (right, Theresa?--and you are SO right!--altho that door was so magnificent :-) ((Theresa ALSO had a magnificent door!)
SO, what we have here is a FUN pic of things that Tammy and I made at the Craft Fair!  Just about everything is punched.  It looked really Springy, bright and adorable all together--(and it was snowing outside that day-----that was so odd.
Thanks for checking!  Have been working on cards today that I will post next...

And the winning door decoration is.....

Our door!  From our GREAT Spring Fling weekend of crafting at the Embassy--I had the idea of the bears from the Charmin commercial flinging springs and Sharon took it from there and quilted this FANTASTIC tree--even painted the background!  One bear has an eye patch (for me) and the other has an arm sling (for her shoulder)...I have to admit it turned out pretty darn cute!  BUT the competition was strong and we only won by one vote--you should've seen how awesome the other doors were!  We all had so much fun!  MArk your calendars for this Oct. 8-10 for another great weekend of crafting!

Flower Die Cut Garden Gloves!

Aren't these fun?  What a GREAT Mother's Day or Easter gift!  I made these to sell at an upcoming Craft Fair and will tie them up with a packet of seeds--what do you think?  It's amazing all you can do with fabric and die cuts!
I'm sooooo excited about our Spring Fling weekend at the Embassy starting tomorrow!  I've been getting all the things together that I plan to work on...I'm sure it will take me a hundred loads of stuff before I get it all in the room!  My roomie, Sharon, and I have been working on our door decoration for the contest and I'll take a pic of it when we get it up--she's an awesome sewer/quilter!!
When I get back, I'll post some of the projects and pics from the weekend!  Hope YOU have a good one, too!

Flower die cut on Easter Bonnet

These fabric flower die cuts are so fun!  And there's so many things you can do with them--isn't this a sweet Easter bonnet?  I just added SU large gros grain ribbon and die cut flowers with batting and a pink brad.  Now if I only had a little girl to give it to!  Don't think my 23 year old would go for it!!!  I think I may try to sell it in an upcoming craft fair.....

Rag Quilt Purse

I can't BELIEVE that I made this in 2 short afternoons!!!  I am not a sewing machine person, altho I got one for college graduation...I just don't have the patience of cutting and messing with things going wrong with the machine and not having a finished project right away...  WELL!!!!  I cut for this using the Big Shot Die cut machine (sooooo easy) and I was able to go from start to finish in about 4 hours!!!  The material is some that I got from my mom's stash (she was a wonderful sewer).  Know what I'm going to do next?  Make those flowers and put them on flip flops--what a cute outfit with a pink golf shirt and white capris!
The hardest part of the whole purse was turning the handles inside out after I sewed them!
Thank you, Stampin' Up, for coming up with such creative ways to use the Big Shot machine!  I can't wait to make some more things with fabric!

Photo Easel Card

This is a sneak peek at one of the make & takes for the Spring Fling weekend at the Embassy on March 12-13. If you haven't signed up yet, you have ONE MORE DAY--and you don't want to miss out on the fun of a crafting weekend with 12--yes 12 FREE make & takes and 10 plus door prizes!!!!! All at a discounted price, even! Let me know if you are interested ASAP! Peggy F. has done a GREAT job of organizing this!
Thanks, Peggy!
Anyway, this is one that I'm doing for free--it's the easel card made into a frame. I also used the build-a-brad on the punched flower. Come and learn how to make it! The pic is 15 years old when my sister flew here to surprise me for my 40th b'day (I guess I just gave my age away--whoops! You didn't read that!) This is a great thing to give as a gift, isn't it? And yes, I know that isn't how you really spell "surprise!" :-)
