TOO Cute!!

Isn't this just the CUTEST little bunny card? We had a downline swap this weekend and
Sally made this card. The carrots are made from SU's "Trendy Trees"--can you figure
it out? Sally said she "cased" it, but I don't know from where. If this is your card, let me know and I'll give you credit.. :-)
All the girls made GREAT cards and I will be sharing them with you this week.

I'm such an IDIOT!

Well, I thought I'd be smart and add something to the blog that I had no idea how to do--AND I managed to delete the whole background design of my blog!!! I have no idea what I did and how
to fix it, so I'll be calling Sherrie for help!
I do have to admit that it IS easier to read now, tho!

Pick a Petal Birthday!

It's fun to go outside of the box sometimes! The flames used on these candles are
actually a flower petal stamp from SU "Pick a Petal" set! The Designer paper and
ribbon are from the SaleABration mini and I used coordinating cardstock for the
card and layering. I watercolored the "flames" with So Saffron and added glitter
(of course!) It makes a great b'day card for any age...

I will be taking some pics of some GREAT new ideas and will add them this week--
so keep looking!! Thanks!!

and raised with a dimensional and glittered! Sundae is colored with blender pen and
ink. Happy Birthday with a cherry on top!

I "Lettered" in Crafting!

Each year at convention, the "roomies" make a gift for each other. Last year, I did
letters for everyone like this one--but of course with THEIR initial! You can buy the
letters at Mike's and cover them with pieces of designer paper and embellishments.
Here, I used a flower and pearl from the "Pretties kit" from SU.

Lay the letter face down on the paper and trace around the parts you want to use-
then cut and adhere!
The best way to adhere the paper, is to use Modge Podge--then put another coat on when you've finished so that it is protected.

Great gifts and fun to hang in your stamping area!

Cheers to You!

I made this card right after getting home from convention last year--I
was so afraid I'd forget the technique we'd learned! It's a lot easier
than it looks--really!
The trick to the "pop up" is to punch a large circle, and cut it into a spiral.
Then, adhere each end--one to the top part of the card, and the other
to the bottom part of the card. Cut out your images that you want to "pop"
and stick on with a sticky dot.
This card uses SU's Cheers to You!, but it would work great for birthday
balloons, presents, butterflies, flowers, hearts--you name it!
Thanks for stopping by! Oh! If you've had a problem leaving a
comment, I think I've fixed it--so try again if you wish!
Long day of crossing things off of my list--off to bed and a good book!

Love this card!

My friend and downline, Peggy, designed this card as a swap for the Lincoln Regionals--and I think it's so clever! Her blog is
http://www.mycraftroomblog.blogspot.com/ --you need to check it out!
She used SU "Puns From the Past" for the sewing machine and actually stitched around
the edges! The background is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and
glossy cs.

Don't Ya Love Holidays?

I do! And one reason is that you can be even MORE creative with making cute things!

These can hold a little cello bag of jelly beans.....
First, I did these 2 at the bottom, then decided to use the same idea with the Scallop Box die cut from SU (oh the possibilities!)
I made these with some 10-12 year olds at a little Kid's Kraft afternoon, and then again with a mom and her 10 year old daughter.
Adults like to make these as much as the kids!
Uses a couple of oval punches, scallop punch and--hey--just be creative!
Email me if you'd like some of these pre-punched and ready to assemble with all the pieces-(except candy)
$1.50 each and free shipping! rjrholm@aol.com
Thanks for looking!

Fifth Avenue Floral

Isn't this a beautiful card? And SO easy using the Fifth Avenue Embossing
folder on glossy cs! It's layered on Rose Red and the flowers on the inside
are stamped in Rose Red, also. The saying is stamped with Black Craft and
embossed with Irridescent Ice EP. The ribbon is Rose Red. We are making
this at the make & take this weekend and it's a great "anything" card!

Scallop box-Good Egg

OOOH! Sorry this is a fuzzy pic, but hopefully you can get the idea! I used
the Big Shot and the Scallop box die cut. Punched a large oval and there are candies
inside. The top is the Good Egg chick watercolored with So Saffron and added
glitter to the egg. It's layered on 1 /34 circle and scsallop punch. Velcro for
closing works best. Thanks Dina www.inkinwithdink.typepad.com for the
inspiration!

Why wasn't I into this when my daughter was in grade school and I was Room Mother?
The THINGS I could've made for her classes!!!! Altho, I did make this kind of thing for her Sorority sisters a couple of years ago and they really enjoyed getting homemade candy gifts!

Next post has something even COOLER that I made up! Check it out in a day!

"Scrappies"

Hi! Thanks for looking today! These are a fun way to use your scraps and
make great tags for gifts and also bookmarks (put a magnet inside each
end).
All you do is use a piece of cardstock that is 1 1/2 x 8 1/2. (Altho, I like them
a little shorter than 8 1/2--you just have to play. Playing is fun! :-) )
Notice that I have used a sticky mailing label--they fit perfectly! And
also that my main image is sticking off the edge of the cardstock.

Try making some! There are a million possibilities! (And they are cute!)

The images are from Stampin' Up's level 3 hostess set "Goody Goody Gumdrops".

Mini Easter Basket

Hi! Thanks for stopping by today!

This mini Easter Basket is filled with 3 covered York mint patties. I started to
give directions on how to make this (got it off of Splitcoast) but couldn't even
understand my own directions!!! Pretty sad! I can tell you this-
it's a 5x5 piece of cs scored at 1 1/2 on each side.
Big help, huh? Email me if you want the specifics!
My brain is dead right now-aaaghhh!

Promise you will forgive me this brain freeze and keep looking for more neat
--and EXPLAINED--ideas!!

Hershey Bar Bunnies

These are just too cute! I cased the idea from my downline' s
just a little bit. Dina has a great blog--you should check it out!

The bunny is punched using the 1 3/8 circle, large and medium ovals, 3/4"

circle and small rectangle (teeth). The designer paper measures 6x5" and you

punch out the inside of the ear with the leftover 1" from using a 6x6 piece.

I think these would make great favors or Easter basket treats!
We will be making these at my next make and take on the weekend
of the 20th..

TicTac holder

We made this cute TicTac holder
at the last month Make & Take
class. It's perfect for keeping in
your purse and makes a great gift!
I used the new Parisian Breeze
Specialty designer paper from SU--
I LOVE the new textures!

It's the perfect cardstock to make boxes, also.

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of cs 2 1/2 x 8 1/2.

2. Score at 2, 2 1/4, 5 1/4, 5 3/4

3. Punch oval on top of the longer scored area
Your TicTac with go thru this oval

4. Make your embellishment ( used the SAB Polka Dot Punches set,
Scallop punch with Baja Breeze stamped with Choc. Chip ink, CC cs
punched with 1 1/4 circle punch and stamped Baja Breeze on white and
punched with 1" circle punch. Clear Rhinstone brad in the middle.

5. IMPORTANT-fold your holder together, insert mints and then put a
dimensional on the lower half of the scallop. This way the fold over top
will keep closed under the scallop.

I finally did it!

I have SO MUCH enjoyed looking at people's blogs and getting great
ideas, that I finally decided to share my ideas, too!
Thanks to my friend and fellow stamper, Sherrie, I think I kind of
get how this works now! She came over today and set me up and taught
me things that I had NO IDEA a computer could do! Thank you, Sherrie!

Please visit me often and please leave me comments! Is there anything you
want to see? Special techniques? I appreciate any input!

My Stampin Haven

Welcome to my Stampin Room!
Am I lucky or what? It's taken awhile to get it like I want it--and now I could just
LIVE here!
Notice my GREAT things that I have for display and organizing--the "wall slat grids"
are one of my faves--they have lucite shelves and accessories that I can rearrange
and display my items. They also are great for putting your punches on!
Here's the good news! I am planning on selling these to you at less than what you'd
pay normally! My husband has connections with the distributor and I'm putting packages together--they are 2 ft.x 5ft (I have 3 next to each other on one wall and a single
on another.
Keep watching for details when I get it together!!
They are going to be called WOW (wonderful organizational wall grids) and will include
hanging hardware and shelves, etc.

I hold make-and-takes here once a month! If you would be interested in joining us, please contact me at rjrholm@aol.com
